St. Mary's has adopted Mary's House a transitional home for the homeless and those needing emergency housing. A list of items the house needs are listed on a collection bin the the vestibule. Help share and spread the Gospel through our actions. This is an ongoing outreach.

Fathers Day Brunch June 15, come, enjoy as the the women prepare to serve and honor the men of the church for a wonderful Father's Day Brunch after Mass.

Eucharistic and Liturgy Training will be held Saturday Jun 22, St. Mary's, after Mass. If you are interested in becoming a Eurcharistic minister or Lecturer, please attend this workshop. For information contact Wade White.

Also, the church has formed a "Homebound ministry" to visit the sick and shut-in to visit and take communion. Please see Fr. Phil, Linda Coleman-Madison, BessyWilliams, philip Palmer or John Meehan.

Pews of Praise

A St. Mary's initiative to provide financial resources for church maintenance, increase our building fund, purhcase a new claranova, and offer a way for members, to honor their families and loved ones by sponsoring a pew. There are several options:

$1,000 entire pew (one sponsor)

$500 1/2 pew (two sponsors)

$250 (4 members sponsor)

a plate with the sponsors' name will be placed on the desinated pew (in memory of , in honor of, or in remembrance of ). There is a payment plan, see Cassie Ferguson. Sign-up forms in the vestibule. Honorable mention/donations $150 and over.

The Passionist Community of Alabama will celebrate over 8 decades October 21, 2023, 3-6 pm., with a banquet. Holy Family Entertainment Center (former HF gym). Tickets are $50, tables $400. Only 240 tickets will be sold: get your ticket(s) now. Don't miss this historic event. Deadline for ticket sales is October 15th.

The 80th Anniversary Banquet of St. Mary's, and 85th anniversary of Holy Family Catholic Churches in conjunction with St. Paul of the Cross; Banquet is Saturday, October 21. We celebrate the history and legacy of the Passionist and their contributions to the Birmingham area and Ensley Communities. We pay honor to all the priests (past and current), nurses, teachers and others who have served and continue to serve the communities of Ensley and Fairfield. Green Mass

The Third Annual Green Mass honoring the Feast Day of St. Francis Assisi patron saint of animals and the earth will take place Wednesday, October 4, at 6:00 P.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1910 -19^th Street Ensley.

Holy Family Alabama Historical Commission Designation

Holy Cross Providence Passionist Community of Alabama (Holy Family) is now registered and listed in the Alabama Register of Historic Landmarks and Heritage. The enitre campus of Holy Family including the hospital is listed. These are the footprints of the Passionists and the lgeacy which has endured through the ages. NOTE: All buildings are still in use with exception of the hospital.

New Heating and Air Unit Drive Still Going
